Technical Plating specializes in reel to reel plating and provides three different finishes across two production lines.
Bright Tin Plating:
Bright tin plating is used to protect against corrosion and increase solderability. In addition, the excellent ductility of tin also allows a tin coated substrate to be formed into a variety of shapes without damaging the plating. It provides excellent protection for copper, nickel and other non-ferrous metals, making it a great finish for pre-plating or post-plating applications. Technical Plating can process bright tin to meet the following specifications:
Matte Tin Plating:
Like bright tin, matte tin plating is used to increase solderability and protect against corrosion. Technical Plating can process matte tin to meet the following specifications:
Nickel Plating:
Nickel plating is one of the most popular and versatile finishes available. It is a metal that is very resistant to corrosion and provides a tough, durable and ductile coating. Technical Plating can process dull sulfamate nickel to meet the following specifications:
*TPI can also process matte or bright tin over nickel in reel to reel application.
Immersion Tin Plating:
On a separate processing line, Technical Plating can process reel to reel immersion matte tin plating. Immersion tin is a very thin coating used to increase solderability and protect against corrosion.
Lead times vary from 10 to 20 days, depending on the requirements, but expediting options are always available.
